Americans to EPA: Put people first, not polluters!

In the midst of a public health crisis, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) implemented a sweeping policy that lets polluters off the hook for reporting their pollution and establishes a policy of non-enforcement for an undetermined period of time during the COVID-19 outbreak. The policy states that the agency will not issue fines for violations of certain air, water, and hazardous-waste-reporting requirements.

These are the reporting requirements citizens, state, and federal agencies rely on to ensure that companies aren't polluting our water or air. By not enforcing or maintaining these requirements, the EPA is abdicating its responsiblity to protect our health.

Enforce the Law!

Tell Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Andrew Wheeler and EPA Region 2 Administrator Pete Lopez to enforce the law: rescind the EPA's recent non-enforcement policy. COVID-19 is no excuse to let polluters off the hook for poisoning our air and water. We need EPA to do its job to protect our health now more than ever.
